A search for Ancient Egyptian relics finds PI Veronica Kingston mummified by a sinister villain. The story is inspired by the Universal 'mummy' cycle in the 1940s although I dispensed with a living mummy and just turned the heroine into one. Bram Stoker's novel 'The Jewel of the Seven Stars' was also an influence. Any resemblance of 'the Asiatic mountain goat' to an animal species living or dead is purely coincidental!
